Simmons First Bank Makes Payment for Miracles Gift

Simmons First Bank in Searcy recently presented the White County Medical Foundation with a $3,000 check for the “Miracles Happen Every Day” campaign. Funds from the campaign will be used to benefit the New Life Center at White County Medical Center.

As a platinum member of the White County Medical Foundation’s Cornerstone Partners program, Simmons First Bank gave the funds toward its pledge of $15,000 for the campaign, in which the bank will name a patient suite in the New Life Center.

“Giving is the foundation of service, a mission that both Simmons First and White County Medical Center focus on each day,” Simmons First Bank Board member Brooks Davis said. “Being able to give to the New Life Center is a natural extension of this common goal.”

Funds given to the Foundation will help purchase the following:  an advanced fetal monitoring system; state-of-the-art nursery equipment; a new triage area with four spaces for patients; an upgraded infant security system; and renovate six patient rooms into labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum (LDRP) suites.

“New life is cause for celebration, and we are grateful for the support from Simmons First Bank,” said Cassandra Feltrop, Executive Director of the White County Medical Foundation. “We are truly blessed to have the support of our community to be able to continue bringing quality patient care and advancements in healthcare to our patients.”

Renovations to patient suites will include more amenities to help patients and their families feel right at home. Updates will include:  big-screen televisions, more seating for families, a sofa that folds out for sleeping and showers in all suites, custom built-in surface area with storage, new flooring and new rocking chairs.
